From my Youtube vid
Tourguide Speed Guide for Icecrown Dailies
Now includes both Horde and Alliance versions.

You will need Tekkub's super awesome Tourguide addon for this to work. http://www.wowinterface.com/download...674&so=&page=2

I originally created this guide to help me do my speed run. With it, I completed 25 dailies in 1 hour and posted the vid on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kq8MSzvLSfs

Since then, I received a number of requests to post my guide online, and after a warm reception from everyone, I felt compelled to keep it updated.

My goal here with this guide is only to do as many dailies as fast as possible, basically for the gold, and this might not be your goal. If you're looking for more flexibility, you might find Flawlessa's Guides to your liking.

The fun for me here (and the reason I post the addon) is the race and the challenge. If you're interested in a little friendly competition, record your best run and we can have a little go back and forth.

For those that are curious: the whole circuit generates about 400 gold.

A few notes to avoid confusion:

The guide is designed to do 25 quests in approximately 1 hour. There are a few things that might cause you to fall short of all 25 quests:

a) If you have not done any argent tournament stuff, the guide will prompt you to do the appropriate dailies for how far you've gotten, but you won't get all 25 until you've championed at least one faction and reached exalted with the Silver Covenant or Sunreavers.

b) If you are not revered with Sons of Hodir, you will have to skip 1 or more quests until you get the rep (again, the guide will prompt you to do some of the daily quests to gain that rep)

If either of these applies to you, you'll still benefit from following the guide -- you just might do 20 quests in under an hour. It's still a win. You can supplement with Sholozar quests or some of the other Icecrown quests if you want. If you still choose to follow the guide, over time you will gain the rep and titles you will need to complete all 25.

Re: Can't load guide

I designed the guide to load from the Addons folder directly. No need to put it in the actual Tourguide folder. It is considered a "separate" addon.

Has anyone tried to load this lately? I have the latest version of TourGuide installed anad I drop tihs folder in to that one and for some reason the guide wont show.

I poked around at the guide.xml file and all the other ones and nothing looks weird. Any idea?

Yah you gotta watch that ;-) That's why I like being a Hunter, if anyone's gonna be knocked off, it'll be my pet

Umm, they certainly do. I've been doing Leave Our Mark at the Savage Ledge for the last 5 days.

You can only Banner-stab dead guys that you've killed. And they're the combatants outside on the ledge itself (There's also 4 yellow NPCs around too)

Don't get confused about the Blood of the Chosen quest. That still needs to be done where you do the Assault by Ground/Air quests, near the cave for Slaves to Saronite.

Another quick suggestion. After killing all those vrykul from Blood of the Chosen and Leave Our Mark, you should have a fair few vrykul bones. After Vile Like Fire (building burninating) and before you head to Death's Rise for No Fly Zone you could pop into the Bone Witch's cave and nab at the very least Rune of the Fleet Feet for a 15% speed boost.

I find it redundant since Blizzard's quest tracker tends to provide it's own buton, except for situations where you're not provided the item needed.

I probably should try and use it ;-).

EDIT: Ok, i must admit, using the TG's Item Button makes a whole lot more sense now ;-)

Well, the original goal was to make a "Use" button appear with the proper item so that there was no reason to go fishing into the bags looking for the mass. I was having trouble with the implementation. I still like the idea of a use button, but maybe I can think of a better way to make it automatically check the inventory. It's all technical stuff, ultimately.

Out of curiosity, do you use the Tourguide quest item button?

For the Not a Bug actual quest (crossed swords icon) you could put a note to the effect;

"Drink the Diluted Cultist Tonic.
Kill Void Summoners and thier Enslaved Minions (56,29), use the Rod of Siphoning on the Enslaved Minions to collect Dark Matters. Once you have 5 Dark Matters use the Summoning Stone(53.80, 33.70)"

Placing Co-ords where appropriate.

This way, for those who don't use TG's icon thingo (me ;-) ) will have the Rod of Siphoning appear in the Quest Tracker.

TG can't detect buffs. It can detect inventory...with limitations.

I was having a terrible time from a technical perspective with this part of the guide. The idea (in theory) is that you can use the Tourguide "Use" button and it will keep the guide going.

But then I started having trouble, like the Use button showing the wrong item, and the guide moving on when the player had 4 dark matters even though I coded for 5. Not sure why this section caused me so much grief.

Ultimately, the alternative (barring a brilliant suggestion) is just to cut out all the notes from that section and let the player just figure it out from the message to complete the quest. That just seems clunky -- at the moment I prefer to have a button to use when I run through the guide myself, so I included it for others.

For Retest Now you should probably have the Cauldron Colours in the note, or delete the note altogether. It's a little hard to explain, Next time I run thru the quest again, I'll pop my ideas in another post.

1. Could you add way points to all of the Suggestions, including quest hand-ins.
I should get around to doing this. Usually I just rely on Tourguide to automatically import coordinates from Lightheaded, but it gets wacky sometimes (especially with the airship and Assault By Ground).

2. Taking Battle to the Enemy (Killing 15 cult members) can be very easily done while doing Drag and Drop (Killing Bitter Initiates for Orbs of Deception and using them against Dark Subjugators)
I usually finish or near-finish the 15 cultists at Drag and Drop, but since you have to kill 10 more cultists for retest now, there's no reason to spend extra time finishing the quest early.

3. The Valiant's Field Training has been changed to kill Converted Heroes at the Valley of Fallen Heroes at around 42,47. Although the QuestID's been updated the guide text hasn't.
I didn't notice this on account of having crusader title already. There were a lot of changes and I missed this one. Thanks, I'll fix that. I have a fresh 80 that I'm doing the preqs with and I hope to catch any more mistakes like this that might be in there.

Makes sense to me. To be honest, the guide automatically assigns a different quest for rogues to save a little time, so I don't do this one on my main.

Awesome guide. Just about to try out the updated version. Altho I wasn't able to some of the Tournament quests, I did notice I got nearly 400 gold.

Just a couple suggestions;

1. Could you add way points to all of the Suggestions, including quest hand-ins.
2. Taking Battle to the Enemy (Killing 15 cult members) can be very easily done while doing Drag and Drop (Killing Bitter Initiates for Orbs of Deception and using them against Dark Subjugators)
3. The Valiant's Field Training has been changed to kill Converted Heroes at the Valley of Fallen Heroes at around 42,47. Although the QuestID's been updated the guide text hasn't.
